We are seeking an experienced Site Foreman to support the delivery of a mid-scale mixed-use development in Gosford. Reporting to the Site Manager, this full-time, site-based role is responsible for supervising day-to-day site activities, coordinating trades, maintaining productivity, and ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. The Site Foreman will also collaborate with contractors, communicate effectively with team members, and uphold workplace safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Site Supervision: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure works are completed in line with the construction programme.
- Resource Coordination: Assist with the effective allocation of labour, materials, plant, and equipment to maintain site productivity.
- Quality Control: Monitor workmanship and ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, and approved methodologies.
- Safety Management: Enforce WHS requirements, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure safe work practices are followed.
- Programme Support: Assist the Site Manager with short-term planning, look-ahead programming, and trade sequencing.
- Problem Solving: Identify and escalate site issues early, assisting with practical solutions to maintain progress.
- Site Reporting: Maintain daily site records and assist with inspections and coordination with consultants.
- Site Presentation & Order: Maintain a safe, organised, and well-managed work environment that supports efficient construction activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- 7+ years’ experience as a Site Foreman delivering residential and/or mixed-use developments.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, trade coordination, and site logistics
- Proven ability to manage labour and subcontractors on active sites
- Solid knowledge of WHS requirements and quality standards
- Confident communicator who works effectively with Site Managers, subcontractors, and consultants
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, on-site construction environment
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction or a related field
