About the role

As a Site Foreman at TQM Design & Construct, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of construction projects in the Sydney area. Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on site, you will be a key liaison between the project management team and the construction workforce. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, utilising your exceptional organisational and leadership skills.

What you’ll be doing
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of construction crews, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate progress, identify and resolve issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee the efficient use of resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to maximise productivity and meet project deadlines
  • Provide on-site training and mentorship to ensure the construction team maintains high standards of workmanship
  • Monitor and report on project KPIs, such as cost, quality, and timelines, to assist with project management and decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
What we’re looking for
  • Significant experience (5+ years) as a Site Foreman or in a similar supervisory role
  • within the construction industry
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise

About the role

As a Site Engineer at TQM Design & Construct, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of complex construction projects in the Sydney metropolitan area. This full-time role involves working closely with project managers, site teams, and key stakeholders to support the successful and timely delivery of civil and structural engineering works.

What you’ll be doing
  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities on site to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety protocols
  • Monitor construction progress and quality, and identify and address any issues or deviations
  • Liaise with clients, designers, and other team members to communicate project status and resolve any challenges
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports, variance analyses, and other project documentation
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the construction crew as needed
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction processes and procedures
What we’re looking for
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar construction role
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying engineering drawings and specifications

Property Manager/Post Construction Coordinator – Sydney

Property & Strata Management
  • Liaise with strata committees, building managers, and owners regarding building matters
  • Attend and contribute to AGM, BMC, GM, and committee meetings where required
  • Communicate professionally in both written correspondence and meetings to resolve issues and support decision-making
  • Coordinate routine building services and maintenance with trades and contractors
Post-Construction & Defects Coordination
  • Manage defect and maintenance matters across completed developments
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance personnel and contractors across multiple sites
  • Monitor defect rectification timelines and prioritise urgent issues
  • Assist in preventing unnecessary escalations from owners, strata managers, and building managers
Reporting & Documentation
  • Review and interpret defect reports from consultants and engineers
  • Prepare simplified reports and instructions for site personnel
  • Attend site meetings and online meetings with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
About You
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Diplomatic and confident communicator in meetings and negotiations
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable attending evening strata meetings when required
  • Basic understanding of building standards or willingness to research and confirm with project managers.
